Quezon Water District Celebrates its 10th Year Anniversary
with the Inauguration of the Comprehensive Water Supply Project – Phase 1:
Salaysay Sub-System as Opening

The Quezon Water District (QWD) will be celebrating its 10th year anniversary on July 10, 2018. Part of the month-long activities and as a kick-off event is the Inauguration of the Comprehensive Water Supply Project – Phase 1 (CWSPP1) – Salaysay Sub-System last June 15, 2018 at Balangay 1B (Crossing-Bida), Poblacion, Quezon, Bukidnon.

The inauguration spearheaded by QWD Board of Directors, Management and Staff was attended by the Local Government Unit (LGU) – Quezon, Bukidnon Officials and employees headed by Honorable Mayor Gregorio Lloren Gue and Honorable Vice-Mayor Pablo Lorenzo III together with the Barangay Captains and other honorable guests to witness this momentous event.

The day started off with the blessing of the CWSPP1 – Salaysay Sub-System including the 700 cubic meter concrete ground reservoir located at Sitio Mirao, Brgy. Merangeran, Quezon, Bukidnon officiated by Fr. Eric Joromo, Assistant Parish Priest of Nuestra Señora del Pilar Parish, followed by the Ribbon Cutting and Ceremonial Opening of the Fire Hydrant by Hon. Mayor Gue, Hon. Vice-Mayor Lorenzo III, QWD Board of Directors and GM Francisco. Afterwards, a short program was conducted in conclusion to the Inauguration of the CWSPP1 – Salaysay Sub-System.

The QWD Comprehensive Water Supply Project – Phase 1 consists of two (02) sub-systems, Salaysay Sub-System and Mikatin Sub-System. The Salaysay Sub-System will cover 11 barangays namely: Dumalama, Libertad, Magsaysay, Mahayag, Manuto, Merangeran, Minongan, Minsalirac, Poblacion, San Isidro and San Jose.

This milestone will not be possible without the full support and assistance of LGU-Quezon headed by Hon. Mayor Gregorio Ll. Gue, the great vision and unwavering support of former QWD BOD Chairman and incumbent Municipal Vice-Mayor, Hon. Pablo Lorenzo III, Barangay Captains, QWD Board of Directors: Dir. Abner T. Balagulan, Dir. Ruby S. Macabaya, Dir. Pacito O. Balida, Dir. Cedronio S. Neri, Jr., MD and Dir. Ma. Perpetua M. Arcayera together with GM Rafael H. Francisco and QWD staff.
